Privacy policy

ASTER Models, Inc. (“ASTER Models”, “we”) takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we collect on astermodels.com, why, and what your rights are, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws.

1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

• Waitlist: full name, email address, professional profile and, if you choose, your company name.
• Meeting booking: the information you enter in Calendly (name, email, time slot, any answers).
• Email exchanges: the content of the messages you send us.
• Technical data: the hosting provider’s server logs (IP address, browser), kept for website security.
• Language preference: a small cookie that remembers whether you chose the French or English version of the site.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or audience measurement tools.

3. Why we use it (purposes and legal bases)

• Keeping you informed about ASTER‑17’s progress and early access — based on your consent.
• Organizing and preparing the meetings you book — pre-contractual steps taken at your request.
• Replying to your messages and developing our business relationships — our legitimate interest.
• Keeping the website secure — our legitimate interest.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your data. It is only accessible to the ASTER Models team and to our technical providers, within the scope of their service: website hosting, Wistia (video hosting and viewing statistics), Calendly (meeting booking) and FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards waitlist sign-ups to us by email.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

ASTER Models is a US company and some of our providers are located in the United States. These transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses).

6. How long we keep it

• Waitlist: until you unsubscribe, and no longer than 3 years after our last contact.
• Meetings and exchanges: 3 years after our last contact.
• Server logs: 12 months at most.

7. How we protect it

The website is served exclusively over HTTPS and access to data is limited to the people who need it. As no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time (for example by unsubscribing from the waitlist). To exercise these rights, emailleo.aurejac@astermodels.com. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL:cnil.fr).

9. Cookies and third-party content

The video is hosted by Wistia, which measures how it is watched (playback statistics) and may set its own cookies. The Calendly calendar loads when you reach the booking section and may set its own cookies, which you can manage through its banner.

10. Links to other websites

This policy only applies to astermodels.com. The websites we link to (LinkedIn, Calendly…) have their own policies.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page; if we make significant changes, we will let you know through appropriate means.
